Diddy Kong Racing DS Cheats for Nintendo DS

In the fall of 1997, a game was released on the Nintendo64 entitled Diddy Kong Racing. Expanding on the "kart racing" mechanism which had proven successful since the early Super Nintendo days in 1992, Diddy Kong Racing had expansive single player and
multi-player modes. The fact that the game was developed by former Nintendo powerhouse Rare didnt hurt, either. After all, their record was virtually flawless.

Years passed, and Rare left the safety of Nintendo third partydom to seek greener pastures. But theyve returned in order to port their classic N64 racer to the Nintendo DS platform, taking full advantage of the DS and its touch screen mechanism. Not surprisingly, we here at IGN have come to help you. The game, in all aspects, is fairly non-linear, and theres no specific way to beat the game or unlock everything, but theres still guidance to be had.

Within the guide are three main sections: Basics, Adventures and Tracks. Basics is the meatiest of all of the sections, which is unorthodox for our style at IGN Guides but nonetheless outlines succinctly everything youll need to know to get through the game. The Adventure part of the guide outlines briefly what to expect on the main single player mode. And finally, to learn something about a majority of tracks in the game, seek out the Tracks section, where you can learn a little bit about what to expect from many of the tracks the game will throw at you.

Cheat: Sand Drawings

There’s a sandpit in the game where you can draw with your DS stylus. Within the sand itself, you will see some dots. Follow the dots to make a pentagon shape, and you will get a free Scratch Card. Make the shape of a balloon and you will get a free Golden Balloon. If you make a circle shape, you will get some free coins.

Throw a frog at the green sillouette shaped frog picture in the world map Then stomp the frog that comes out.
To clarify, all you have to do is get a frog you jump on top of the frog shaped area that is surrounded by water. Fly around the main area that features Tajs tent. You will eventually see the "Frog Island."
To get the frog to jump, you will notice that when you approach one there is a hand icon. (When you see these, it always means there is a stylus involved in its interactivity.) Take the stylus and stroke the frog in any direction slowly. You will notice as you are stroking it with the stylus it stretches in the direction you are stroking it.
When you let go of it it snaps into the air depending on how much you stretch it, andin what direction you stretch it. If you get it to snap from any location, into the frog island, you will recieve Drumstick as a universally playable character. There are only four other characters left that are hidden.
