Select a character in versus mode. Then, highlight the random option on the area selection screen, hold L1, and press Circle. Hidden Area 7 Select a character in versus mode. Then, highlight the random option on the area selection screen, hold L2, and press Circle. Extra Option At the title screen, press Up, Down, Left, Right, X, Circle. Then a new "Extra" option will appear that allows the game to be played with new enemies and alternate enemy positions.
