At the Title Sceen, hold UP and press SELECT. Release both buttons, then hold DOWN and press SELECT. Release them again and hold LEFT and press SELECT. Next, release everything then hold RIGHT and press SELECT. Release these buttons and press SELECT once more to reveal a Stage Select option in the lower middle of the screen.
