Critics believe that E3 has lost its touch with stilled speeches and commercialization. Up-till now, 2019 has not been properly exciting.
Due to the lack of gameplay footages, conferences were boring and meaningless. Few trailer footages here and there and long speeches with very less actual gameplay footage made this whole charade dreary. Let us have a look at the upcoming things from E3.
Xbox Scarlett coming out next year
Let’s talk about project Scarlett, a lot of people are dying to hear more about Xbox Scarlett. Roumers are that there would be two upcoming gaming consoles, instead of one. Yes, that right, one of them will be a traditional console with entirely local processing and the second model is codenamed, Scarlett.
Scarlett will process few elements of the game locally like controller input, image processing and collision detection with the rest of it processed on servers. Microsoft might have figured out how to tackle with the latency issues with this device, fingers crossed guys.
Let’s take a look at the spec sheet of this device. All new Xbox will have AMD Zen 2 CPU, which might be able to tackle with the latency issues face on the previous devices like Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. It is believed that Zen 2 has been a huge improvement over its predecessors. There were no photos of the console itself, we hope to see the console by the end of this year.
Hardware ray-tracing could be really interesting to see in an Xbox. It would be interesting because we have seen hardware ray-tracing on PC graphic card, it will be amazing to see that applied in an Xbox. Ray-tracing is hard to understand what that means, you need to get hands-on experience to really see the difference.
Compatibility is the other key thing, game, and accessories all going to work. The fact the all the accessories that you are buying now will work on the new upcoming Xbox is super exciting. Don’t you worry about the game save, all your saved game will be transferred to the next Xbox. Four generations of Xbox games can be playable on the Xbox Scarlett console. We are ensured by the backward compatibility team that the goal is to get every game to come forward.
Microsoft has all the pieces to hit it out of the sky with this project Scarlett.
Cyberpunk 2077
The guys who created Witcher are back with another legendary announcement, Cyberpunk 2077. It’s going to be a first-person RPG, it looks quite polished from what we saw so far. They are still working on it and yeah it will take some more time, but gameplay so far looks fantastic. The mind-blowing attention to detail can be seen instantly. The world that they have created is just fantastic and futuristic. It’s not just about how cool it is to see but how visually impressive it is, it feels like the next step in making open world games feel real. E3 said that they were targeting the current gen of Xbox. I want to say that I really liked how hard they were stressing the roleplay aspect of this game, creating your character shaping them as well as the world around them.
One last thing, Keanu Reeves is going to be in it. Yeah! That’s right, Keanu Reeves in a video game how cool is that? I ask myself the same question the day I saw the poster. How much role will Keanu play in this game, it’s hard to tell? For me, the concept of seeing Keanu Reeves in a video game is enough to put this on top of my most anticipated games list.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
There is a lot of anticipation about this game in the gaming world. I was not particularly excited to see the demo as I have hoped. After looking at Cyberpunk 2077, my hopes had gone through the roof. There are no subtle changes in the game, just some feature upgrades.
The demo did not make a huge impact on me, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t as bit as good as old its predecessors. With Titanfall 2, Respawn did a pretty good job, we have high hopes that Star Wars will have the same impact. Good news for Respawn, the all-new Star Wars films has introduced all new batons that can fend off lightsabers, it has helped balance gameplay. You will be seeing a lot of lightsaber action with some amazing force abilities.
Marvel’s Avengers
There is a released trailer of Marvel’s Avengers, but there wasn’t any gameplay in particular. I am really excited about this game, in fact, I am extremely excited. I am looking forward to seeing how Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Hulk will be managed at the same time. I am really curious about the storyline and stuff, how they are going to manage it all. Crystal Dynamics has a huge responsibility on their shoulder, not to let down the expectations of its fan base.
The good news is that Avengers has finally got a release date i.e. 15th May 2020. That right in the zone with CyberPunk2077. Believe me guys, when I say that CyberPunk 2077 looks way better than Marvel Avengers from what we have seen so far. All we got to see so far is the trailer and actual gameplay footage was only shown behind closed doors. It looks like a 3-RD person game, where you have the option to choose from different Avenger characters. Square Enix is awfully quiet about the multiplayer setup for Avengers, I guess we will see that when it happens.
I myself is a pretty huge fan of Marvel’s Avengers, but the trailers that I have seen so far looks pretty average to me. I really hope that gameplay would be more fun, but I highly doubt that.
