Shortly after the miraculous release of Episode 3, we learned from Skybound Games, which had resumed the development of The Final Season, that Episode 4 and the box version of this “Ultimate Season” would be released on March 29, 2019: today, we learn via the game’s official Twitter account that everything has been slightly advanced on March 26. We will therefore have to wait three days less than expected and we will clearly not complain about that. By the way, the developers confirm that the physical edition, some of which are available below, can be purchased from the usual resellers. This is the final stretch before the final conclusion of this beautiful saga, initiated in 2012 under the hospices of the late Telltale Games…
Available for a few days on PC (now on the Epic Games Store), Switch, PS4 and Xbox One, the penultimate episode of The Walking Dead game: The Ultimate Season will have marked some complications. Indeed, the Telltale Games studio, creator of the saga The Walking Dead (Sam & Max, The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands, etc…) announced the dismissal of most of its staff on September 21, 2018, leaving its game abandoned, which was taken over by the Skybound Games studio, created by Robert Kirkman (showrunner of the television series The Walking Dead) for the development of episodes 3 and 4 and thus conclude the saga with honor.
And so it was by installing the update for the launch of episode 3 that players were able to discover interesting information: the release date of “Take Us Back”, episode 4 and epilogue of the saga The Walking Dead. As shown in the image, you can play it quite quickly since it is scheduled for release on March 26, 2019.
For what cost?
If you are one of the great defenders of games in a physical format, don’t worry, the various production problems will not prevent you from placing your box alongside the other episodes since the French publisher Just For Games will do us the honour of offering a box version in France, on PS4 and Xbox One, at a price of 29.99 €.
